Story Time
Dr Ameya Ghanekar was named as ‘Orange Zebra’ by people during his travel escapade for 83 days in 6 countries namely; Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Singapore in 2010.
In 2010 Dr Ameya had left his job for travelling and exploring the world by keeping a simple motto in mind – ‘Trusting the Unknown.’ During his travel, he came across and learnt Various facets of human behavior, interpersonal relationship, decision-making models, transactional analysis models, resource management, behavioral patterns, the power of subconscious mind, the importance of feelings and emotions, positive thinking.
In 2018, when he thought of starting his own boutique learning and development firm, of course, the obvious choice of his boutique learning firm name was – ‘Orange Zebra.’
Why ORANGE ZEBRA
We believe in a holistic approach in each Learning and Development solution we provide. Learning and Development is not just a department; Learning and Development is a way of life. We focus on customising each learning intervention for our clients based on their specific training needs, learning to exceed the client’s expectations with our Domain expertise.
We emphasise on experiential learning, which is a process of learning through experience, and is more specifically defined as ‘learning through reflection on doing’. Our each Learning and Development intervention focuses on Learners being the Centre of Learning process.

Why Orange
Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents positive emotions like enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, success, encouragement, stimulation, joy, sunshine, health, fun, enjoyment, freedom, expression and warmth. Orange also relates to social communication, stimulating two-way conversations. We believe that each of our Learning and Mystery Shopping Interventions represents Emotions related to Orange.
Why Zebra
We at Orange Zebra Believe and Represent each Unique quality of Zebra. Many cultures refer to Zebra as a symbol of balance, agility, clarity, and sureness of path.
Zebras have extraordinary Observation Qualities. Zebras have excellent eyesight and hearing. Zebras are Strong and Strategic. They combine fast running with excellent stamina as well as being able to run in zigzagging motions to evade predators that are chasing them. To sleep, generally, zebras don’t lie down instead they usually sleep standing up. Just like human fingerprints zebra’s stripes act like an equine fingerprint – each individual’s patterns are unique. Zebra is highly social and will only get to sleep if they are close to neighbors so that they can be warned if a predator approaches. They are also community oriented as they prefer to graze together and will groom each other.
